My lovely dog Teddy, a 13kg Cockerpoo, was in the back pack at the local farmer’s market on Sunday morning. He loved the back pack, as did my daughter, who was wearing it. I don’t think either have ever had so much attention. “Is that a back pack specially for dogs”, said one person. Another kept saying “how adorable”. It was. My doggie calmly looking around, lapping up the attention. The back pack was great, particularly once you have figured out how to get the dog into it. Even that was fun. This is not a cheap product but its worth every penny.

Great product, I have earlier had a few other backpacks for my English Cocker Spaniel, but this one is really a unique product fit fot purpose. I mainly use it for my daily bike commute.

Good quality and Teddy loves it. We use it when we ride our electric scooter. However, I think it is a little too tight, although there should have been room to spare. But love it.

My K9 Knavigate arrived quickly and promptly . I had regular updates before it arrived . Even before I ordered it , good customer service was evident from the start , I emailed for advice on sizing etc and I received a helpful reply speedily . My Archie ( a 12 year old west highland terrier ) has arthritis and is only able to walk short distances . I had previously bought a buggy but he didn’t seem to like that too much therefore I decided to try a K9 carrier . I bought the knavigate to ensure my Archie can still join in but rest when he needs to . I bought a large size ( he is 10.6kg and a tall and long Westie ). He fits in it perfectly . At first he was unsure but once I got him on my back he appeared to be absolutely loving it . Archie likes being next to me with some skin to skin contact and he loved being able to be pain free , have a rest and being a nosey Westie enjoyed looking at all the sights whilst in the K9 Knavigate . The extra straps are great and make me and Archie feel more secure . The storage space in the carrier is ideal for what I need . I thoroughly recommend it and look forward to our next adventure walking along the coastal path at Norfolk . Unfortunately no photos yet as I could not carry him and take a photo ! Lol .

Fantastic product and great service - we accidentally ordered the wrong size, got in touch with Travfurler and they were so quick to respond and change the order before it had been sent out. The item arrived quicker than expected and also came with a handwritten note which was a very nice touch!
The bag itself seems robust enough and the base section is roomy enough to store our dogs various necessities. We needed to watch some videos from the manufacturer for tips on getting her into it, but now she is quite into it!
All in all very happy with the experience!

Bought this as it looked the best and it was! It seemed to have more mesh on it than others and I thought the white colour would work better in the sun. Great for my Dachshund cross on a walking holiday with two big dogs on the North Devon Coastal Path! It worked fine as a day pack if I didn't use it for the dog, really comfy. Bought 2 of these for our 2 collies (weigh 13kg and 16kg) so we can take them mountain biking with us and put them in the sacks on the road sections. Appear well built, sturdy and comfortable for human and canine. Our girls don’t mind getting in them. Been using them for the last 3 weeks gradually building up time and activity. Making it as rewarding as possible for them with lots of treats. Currently up to riding a spin bike with them on our backs for up to about 10mins. Haven’t ventured out on the bikes with them as yet.

I absolutely love this bag, and my dog does too. I have an anxious cocker spaniel who is gradually losing his sight due to PRA, so this makes life a lot easier for us as he's never left behind and doesn't have the worry of meeting other dogs on the ground. It is incredibly well-made along with lots of storage which makes day trips easy. Very comfy to wear too, I am only 5ft 4 and my dog weighs 18kg but I am able to carry him for hours due to the generous support. Just wish I'd bought one sooner! Money very well spent I think. The only downside is that with my size and the weight of my dog it is a two person job to lift him onto my back while I get strapped up, but that is not a product issue, just a consideration for others who may live alone. Very happy with the service from Travfurler too; Kimberley has been lovely to deal with. Many thanks

We love it! This Backpack is perfect to ride bycicle with my dog. He love to run beside me, but when we want to cross a city its difficult. With this backpack it is no problem and we are the stars on the street .

I ordered a Small size Knavigate and use it to carry my 3.7 kg dog, a Maltipoo. The backpack has lots of little pockets which makes it very functional even when I don't have my dog in it. Sometimes his paws come off the holes but it could be because he is moving around too much. I mainly use it for cycling and potentially motorcycling once he is more used to being inside. Definitely recommend due to its quality and durability.

Our little old guy and myself just love this dog rucksack! As when he’s had enough walking he just get in it and he’s still able to enjoy the walk with the family.
I feel the rucksack is a great fight for both myself and dog also there’s a separate compartment for carrying stuff.
The back support is brilliant too!

This backoack is a best thing for travelling in summer hot days when dog is not allowed to be on hot roads we live cycling so he runs and when he is not abel to, i put him in backoack and he is happy and i am also, becose i can enjoy the ride and be fast and also i know he is safe on my back

I'm using it since a week and it works perfectly for my growing retriever. The little manual on how to fit your dog in was actually pretty helpful. The tip I read in the comments here to stuff the ground with a blanket for hight was essential for proper use. I'm glad I stumbled upon the comment beforehand.
The delivery was a little weird. I ordered from Germany and the package was stuck for days in customs and then I had to pay 40 euro customs fees. I think the backpack is already pretty expensive. (If there were options I'd have chosen something 50 £ cheaper.) But then added the 20 £ for premium delivery and 30 £ for customs it gets very costly. Having a dog is a luxury... :)
Also it's weird that you don't get a default sticker included. Now there is this open patch and it's probably collecting dirt over time.
In general I'm thankful for the product itself. It really brought back some flexibility for a car-less life with a growing dog.

A very usefull item to get around with my older dog.

I have a 14kg Spaniel/Collie cross (quite small dog) which was well under the dimensions for a 2 Plus (large) backpack. When I got it, it was a bit too small though and without a hip-belt to stabilise, biking and walking was not comfortable.
I then went ahead and bought the Knavigate and I am a big fan!! Big shame you don't sell anywhere directly in EU, since customs are very expensive. Still worth it though. Mia is comfortable during out bike rides, she enjoys being able to join me anywhere now. She will still need some training to sit nicely by herself in the backpack.
I moved from Scotland to Belgium and it was a big change regarding laws when it came to off/on lead walking, running along with bikes etc. So the backpack makes it possible for Mia to still join me everywhere! Thank you!

I think the bag is a great idea but I do find it difficult to get the dog in it even though I’ve watched the video, also my dogs legs must have gone numb with sitting on them, he was in it for about 20/30 minutes, he was quite wobbly when we first lifted him out

I received my K9 Sport Sack yesterday to Stockholm and I am very pleased with it. The backpack is of good quality and it fits well. Now I only need to get my little doggy used to it - but that will not be a problem I guess :-)

I took an XL model and put a blanket in the bottom while waiting for our loulou to grow up. With a little practice, I can even put it on and take it off by myself.

This bag is no doubt one of the best purchases I've made in long time
My dog has arthritis, which means he can't walk as far as he used to.
However even though his arthritis would flare up and hurt him, he'd always try to power through it, simply because he just loves going on walks and being with us 24/7.
We're now able to give him a rest in the bag when he starts getting tired, before his arthritis flares up.
The bag design spreads the weight like a normal hiking rucksack would, and has a compartment in the bottom to be able to put your own gear in.
It keeps my dog extremely secure inside, and he seems really comfortable - so comfortable infact that sometimes he's starts to go to sleep while being carried in the bag.
It's given him a much better quality of life - now he gets to come along with us on longer walks instead of having to stay at home alone.
It's also given us much more freedom to be able to take him to places that beforehand we wouldn't have normally of taken him.

Our PRT Tilly is 13 and needs a bit of help going up the mountain. She is loving her Knavigate Human Uber pack which she gifted to her Sherpa this Christmas. It is a nice comfy fit and has plenty of space for her water, blanket and snacks as well as her hooman's bits & bobs. The pack is a total success. Being a discerning and special doggie Tilly was a 'cusp' size and the team at Travfurler were very helpful in assisting her hoomans in getting the right pack and fit.

Love the bag and my dog seems to enjoy it too - he's only a puppy so can't walk too far but this lets us go on longer adventures together. It's comfy to wear too with a chest and waist strap.

A great way to transport a dog. My dog is already a little too big for this backpack as you can see in the picture, however it still holds up well.
He is secure (no way of jumping out).
Negative point is the backing which is not thick enough. If he moves his legs a little, it is uncomfortable/hurts.
I would def. buy it again.

We love our new rucksack! It’s even better than we imagined, it has such a large pouch for my personal things such as snacks for me and treats for the dog, which is ideal for long hikes!! Buddha finds it very comfortable and with the added booster block he fits perfect in the size small and he is a 3kg Pomeranian. We can’t wait to use this on more adventures!
