Hands-on guides to travelling internationally with a dog, coverage of Europe, United States and Australia
Schnitzel, an 8-year old Miniature Dachshund from Sydney, Australia, has visited more countries than most people - an impressive 36! In 2017, Schnitzel's Mum, Shandos Cleaver, realised the only way to reconcile her love of travelling (and work as a travel blogger) and her love of her dog, was to take Schnitzel along. They flew off to Spain, and for the next two years travelled around Europe and the USA.
Since then, Schnitzel has also travelled extensively around Australia, and paws crossed they will be once again heading overseas, although his international travels are temporarily on hold. Not that Schnitzel quite grasps the concept of countries, but wherever he heads he delights in finding new scents to sniff (and roll in, of course!)
Shandos’s blog, Travelnuity: Dog-Friendly Travel, is focused on providing information to other people who want to travel with their dogs, plus inspire more people to travel with their dogs, whether internationally or closer to home. The website provides extensive guides to travelling internationally with a dog, plus within Europe, the United States and Australia, written by someone with hands-on experience.
