Items are leaving the UK for all overseas destinations on time however items to some EU destinations are experiencing severe customs delays. This is the result of changes to the EU’s VAT rules for items from non-EU destinations from 1st July. Please contact us for the most up-to-date information on any EU destinations as timelines are changing rapidly. 


Important EU Customs Update:

As of 1 July 2021, items imported to the EU with a value of €22 or less became no longer exempt from VAT and therefore orders will be charged accordingly at the time of import/delivery under the new rules.

Due to the recent change we are expecting to see customs delays throughout EU countries upon shipments entering for delivery. 
To account for this we have updated all EU shipping timelines with new estimates which will now show at the checkout stage.

Royal Mail Service Update Regarding International Orders:

Items are leaving the UK for all overseas destinations on time. We're working with our airline and postal/courier partners to maintain services across the globe, however delays should be expected as a result of ongoing COVID-19 reduction measures and reduced air transport capacity. Signatures on delivery may also not be available in many countries due to social distancing requirements. Please see individual country listings for any exceptions or special measures which may cause in-country disruption.


With the UK nearing the final stage of easing lockdown restrictions many services are now running much smoother and most national shipments are now running on time. Unfortunately minor-severe delays are still being experienced on international shipments, especially European destinations due to the combined impacts of Covid restrictions and import changes.

Although the UK is still in a national lockdown, transport links are beginning to stabilise along with supplier turnaround times and we are seeing most national orders and re-stocks arrive on time - although some delays may still be experienced. Unfortunately delays are still to be expected on international orders due to country specific changes. Shipping policy

Outside of the impacts of Coronavirus, following Brexit we are unfortunately seeing the negative impacts of border/customs changes on a very small number of EU orders.
As a result we would like to remind our customers, since we have no control over border charges, that we are unable to estimate or include these within our shipping pricing at this time (as is the case with international orders outside of the EU too). Therefore, you as the customer are responsible for your own countries customs duties and taxes charged at the time of delivery or collection.
We completely understand this is not ideal and is of course going to be a change to previous UK-EU orders, which we are truly sorry for.  
Please do bear this in mind when placing international orders and if you're still unsure on whether you'll be subject to customs fees, we'd recommend contacting your local customs office for more information before placing your order. We will be keeping this bulletin updated so please also check back for updates.

 Whilst the UK enters it's third lockdown, it's business as usual at Travfurler.
We are continuing to run safe and responsive processes; ensuring all areas are sanitised regularly, staff interaction is reduced and postal/supply runs are limited.
Whilst trying to keep service running as usual, there are unfortunately negative impacts across the supply chain and courier/shipping services due to reduced transport, limited opening hours and reduced staff.

At current these changes include:
- Our same day despatch times have now changed due to mail centre opening times, please review our shipping policy for further details. 
- We can no longer guarantee shipping on Sunday's due to mail centre opening times. 
- Pre-orders may experience delays due to supplier changes.
- We are experiencing a higher level of low stock than normal due to delays in the supply chain, should an item be out of stock with no pre-order date, please contact us for an eta on re-stock. 

We are working as hard as possible to keep running whilst remaining safe and still deliver a high level of service for our customers.

With the ongoing situation around COVID-19; including England entering it's second lockdown, we wanted to share an update with you on how we are staying open safely.
We are doing everything we can to ensure the continued sanitisation of all our products and facilities. Our team is committed to staying healthy, and helping our customers stay healthy, too.
Shipping may be impacted by global issues beyond our control and we sincerely apologise for any delays experienced. During this time we therefore advise Tracked Delivery options are chosen (especially on international orders) to ensure the swiftest timeline possible as well as public tracking being made available. To aid with this, all FREE delivery bands now include tracked delivery as standard and we have reduced all of our individual tracked shipping rates.
We will always endeavour to keep our shipping policy updated with up-to-date delivery timelines and you can easily contact us should a delay be experienced. We will do everything we can to ensure a safe and smooth delivery and where severe delays are experienced on Tracked orders we will provide compensation (over 21 days from the original estimated delivery date).
To keep adventures going, we will also be continuing to share pet travel media across our social channels.
For those humans and pets who can't currently adventure, we hope our content will help you feel connected to the way of life you love and for those who can adventure, we hope sharing your stories and feedback brings you closer to those who need the inspiration right now.
