We have a wide range of EzyDog Double Up Collars.
If you have a large or active dog, you may end up going through more collars than you do dog food. Your pup constantly breaks or wears out the collar, shredding it into pieces by the end of the day. Before you give up and spend more money on another collar, know you have other options like a double up collar. So, what is a double up collar?
In a nutshell, an EzyDog double up collar is a very durable, heavy duty dog collar that has two D-shaped rings. This means when the leash attaches to the collar, the buckle doesn’t sustain the strain. This strain is shared because the double D-shaped rings take on the pressure rather than the leash or the buckle.
The EzyDog double up collar might just be your saviour solution. You shouldn't have to worry about the buckle failing, leash rings breaking or your dog tearing the collar up. It’s secure and strong with a host of other benefits and It comes in a wide range of sizes and colours to choose from.

What Kind of Dogs Are EzyDog Double Up Collars Good for?
The EzyDog double up collar is good for any type and temperament of dog. This is great for pups that love to dig, get into things and go on adventures. Labrador Retrievers, Golden Retrievers, Boxers, Huskies, Jack Russell Terriers, Border Collies and the like are famous for these kinds of wily activities.
This type of collar is excellent for large, tough dogs that have a muscle mass capable of breaking normal collars. This means it will be great for Cane Corsos, Boer Boels, Rottweilers, Pit Bulls, Tibetan Mastiffs, Bull Mastiffs and etc.
Also, any puppy will benefit from using such an EzyDog double up collar. Since dogs are at their most curious and exploratory when they’re little, a double up collar is the best way to get them used to wearing a collar while attempting to curb their adventurousness.
Other Purposes & Uses
An EzyDog double up collar makes for a great training tool too when used in combination with a leash and harness. It’s good for vacations away from home, hiking trips, running on the beach and longer periods where your dog will put pressure on the collar. It’s so comfortable that your dog won’t even notice the collar sitting around its neck.
If a D-Ring Happens to Break Off
In the rare and unlikely event that one of the D-rings breaks off the collar, you won’t lose control of your dog or its leash thanks to the double D ring. This will be invaluable for situations where your pup wants to chase, run or has the impetus to do its own thing outside of your commands.
Are There Any Situations Where an EzyDog Double Up Dog Collar Will Fail?
Almost any situation will be good for your dog to wear an EzyDog double up collar without you worrying about failure. The only time you won’t be able to use this is if you plan on putting your pooch in weight pulling competitions. We suggest you don't test this...
For such an activity, you will need a heavy-duty harness. Other than that, you can use the collar for daily use since it is specifically intended for walking your dog.
Are There Any Downsides in Using an EzyDog Double Up Dog Collar?
As with anything, there are a few downsides to using and having an EzyDog double up dog collar. Although many owners attest to its sturdiness along with being a good fit, having a good length, giving fantastic control and an excellent grip, it can have some minor issues.
Skin & Neck Issues
We have never seen this occur but on very rare occasions dogs with very short hair may experience skin irritation from the material constantly rubbing up against it. Discomfort could occur for small dogs not used to wearing such collars. Other owners report that the collar simply hurts their dog’s neck, regardless of hair length or skin sensitivity.
Collar Is Too Thick
Some owners love the chunkiness of the double D-rings, but others find the collar itself to be a little too wide. This can present certain problems for smaller dogs like Border Collies and Jack Russell Terriers. It can prevent a full range of motion and, for some breeds, may fit a little tightly because of the thickness. We have never had such a complaint or experienced this which makes us very confident about using the double up collars. We love them so much we use one on a regular basis with our small 13kg French Bulldog and he loves it as do all of our family dogs.
EzyDog Double Up Collar Large Dog
Some large breeds could wear the collars down faster than normal. If they chew it, pull hard and are incredibly strong then we would recommend always checking that the collar remains in good condition and maybe have a second one on hand in case your dog is stronger than the norm. Again, I am talking Cane Corsos and Tibetan Mastiffs not your average, strong Labrador.
Too Big for Some Puppies
If your puppy is young you must take the time required to ensure you get a perfect fit. The last thing you need is them pulling a 'Houdini' on you and disappearing down the field! Remember, puppies will obviously grow very quickly so you will need to always adjust and even buy new double up collars as they grow. The good news is, they will be used to them from a young age.
Are EzyDog Double Up Collars Expensive?
AN EzyDog double up collar for your dog isn’t too pricey, but if you’re on a tight budget the cost can be weighty. Depending on where you purchase the collar, it will cost about £16 to £19 (or around $21 to $27 USD) plus shipping.
So, while not too exorbitant in price, it’s not very inexpensive either. However, the investment is worth it because of the tested engineering and how well-built it is. At the very least, it can’t hurt to try it out and see how your dog does with it in relationship to the cost.
When you need a sturdy, stable and reliable collar for your active and virile dog, consider purchasing a double up collar. The soft-touch material combined with stainless steel double D-rings offers some of the best and durable on the market. Plus it makes it easy to put on additional tags with the accessory D-ring.
This will be worth it for you if your dog is constantly on the go, getting itself involved in just about anything it can get into. Alternatively, if you have a very large, muscular breed, a strong collar like a double up will become a crucial necessity. If this is your situation, you may want to buy a couple to have on hand in the rare chance it breaks.
The fact that it has reasonable mid-range pricing combined with a choice of sizes and a whole palette of colours, you can’t go wrong. The design intends to be comfortable and practical while your pooch wears it over the course of several hours. This means you can use it for short walks to day-long jaunts in the forest without worry.
