We got a K9 Sport Sack Plus 2 for our shetland sheepdog before a holiday. Delivery was super fast. It was easy to work out and she was totally fine in there. She's very long haired but the design is such that there's no trouble getting her in and zipping it up. It's pretty clever.
We used it for going down steep, narrow stairways where there were too many people walking up and down and also for walking under some waterfalls where the footing wasn't great.
I wouldn't put her in for long periods just because, despite the ventilation I suspect she would still get too hot being so long-haired.
My only criticism of this actual product is that when your dog isn't in it and you have the pouch attached, it makes a rubbish bag. The pouch hangs too far away from the wearer. There needs to be some kind of fixture for the dog section to be packed flatter when the dog isn't inside.

Love Piper our Pomeranians new backpack! She’s getting older and slower so longer walks are no fun for her. She is really happy watching everything going on from her pack and even fell asleep at one point. It’s comfortable, easy to use and really good quality. This is brilliant. I was looking at fixing a crate to my bike for when we go cycling so that Ralphie could come with us when I discovered the K9 sport sack. Had a trial while out walking and he loves it. People who pass look twice and smile. If we go on a long walk I can pop him in it for a rest.

Absolutely love this! Alfie, our dog, is on the older side and has arthritis in his front leg, so we have to me mindful how far we walk him. This enables us to get further on our adventures and still have him with us. He seems comfy in it and loves looking around. The mini backpack is ideal for packing all his stuff inside for when we get him out to walk. Beware though, you do get a lot of extra attention for the cuteness factor when out and about!

we´re basically very happy with the sack - it´s well made but the strap that goes across the chest is far too high for my husband. Oscar is a bit bemused about it so far but it´s saved his old legs on longer walks. We intend to practice every week until he feels comfortable. In the meantime, have you received the returned rucksac from Portugal yet?

Best doggy backpack around. Wee Crumpet has brain damage that means she can’t walk as far as most dogs, but she seems happy enough in her backpack, she likes looking around and loves that she gets to spend so much time so close to me lol. She must find it comfy enough as she even falls asleep in it! It is a great wee bag!

The bag is amazing! Even though I have had some manufacturing issues with it (which Travfurler have been very quick in assisting me with) I can do nothing but recommend this bag. It has made my life so much easier by cutting down on long bus commutes across the city and just being able to take my bike instead. My dog absolutely loves it, she rides around london on my bike with me and to work, it makes getting around with the dog so much easier, the detachment bag is a tad small for a laptop but not a complaint at all, went for the medium she is 7kgs needs a small towel in the bottom to boost her up a tad, but super easy to use and very secure.

It’s ok, very expensive for what it is, but I suppose in a market that is lacking, it makes sense.
The bottom support doesn’t really work as intended so the dog needs to be adjusted often as he tilts to the side. It’s manageable when traveling with 2 people (one to adjust) but I think it may be hard to use alone.
Perhaps a more expensive backpack would be better, but this was already too pricey for us..

We bought a K9 Sport Sack Plus 2 for our 8kg Mini Schnauzer who, at 15, needs a bit of help sometimes. We found the medium with a booster cushion was best for her and it really came in to its own on a recent holiday to Northumberland where she was able to live her best life and not miss out on any of our activities. The service and support from Travfurler was excellent and we would return for future purchases.

Bought this before switching to the knavigate. If you have a Spanieltype dog which would fit all the dimensions of a Plus 2, I would still go for the Knavigate XL, much more comfy for the dog!
In general the backpacks are well made and well thought through when it comes to layout, comfort and practicability. I hope it will be possible for you at some point to sell them via outdoor shops in the EU to avoid high custom fees for the customer.

Ted is nearly 16 he loves a walk with Welly our much younger dog , but he struggles on the hills so this backpack has meant he can still come on great walks but grab a lift when the going gets tough . Initally our pup wasnt too keen to get in...it took a bit of perseverance however after the second time he sits and lets us put him in has his realised he gets to come for a bike ride with is and at the end of it is normally a park or somewhere he can run about so.loves it. Brilliant dog carrier!
Before buying I searched google to find the best reviewed backpack for dogs, the K9 sport sack was rated one of the best.
Then I found Travfurler, I had never heard of them before but the whole experience was quick and easy with fast delivery. I will definitely be using them again.
I bought the sport sack because I had booked to go on holiday and didn't want my dog, Loki, to over do it. He never slows down but is getting to the age where he feels it the next day. Loki wasn't too happy to be put in the sack at first, but if you follow the instructions it's pretty simple to do and didn't cause Loki anymore than 15 seconds of stress. Loki was then quite content looking over Daddy's shoulder. while we were walking around. The K9 sport sack build quality seems very good, we didn't have any worries while it was supporting Loki up in the air. Without the sport sack Loki wouldn't have been able to enjoy the holiday with us as much as he did.
All in all a great experience!

Great service from Travfurler! Very well made doggy backpack, needs someone to help you adjust the straps etc. when your pooch is in it, otherwise it can feel quite uncomfortable. Useful to have the detachable pack for your own items so you can carry stuff as well as your pooch.

Love this backpack! We went to a Christmas market today and it was farrrrr too crowded for the pooch so popped him into rucksack and we became stars of the market! He was very comfortable in it, kept an eye of what was going on instead of looking at feet and the ground and at risk of getting trodden on, and he got lots of fuss from other people. He is 10kg so his weight was abit harsh on our backs but we took turns to carry him and it was fine. Definitely useful to have for crowded places/ public transport. Would be amazing to have an extra strap for additional support at the waist

My old girly lasts much better with this sack to give her a break on long walks, so easy to use and she loves it only after a couple of times usage so far.
It was brought to help us get her round the highlands as she has spondylosis and not allowed to walk longer than an hour in one stretch so she gets a half hour break when needed so we can carry on with the walk.
She seems so comfy and it isn’t too bad on your back either.

Doug our pug mix loves it ! Had previously bought a cheap rucksack from Amazon but it broke and he was not happy being on the back not looking ahead. He is around 9 kg and we bought the small rucksack. It fits like a glove. Doug sits in it still and doesn't move looks ahead over the shoulders and we even put him in the rucksack on the bike ride and he loved it !! We are going to Wales soon and he will love the hike in it. Rucksack is so light, easy to put the dog in and very comfortable when wearing even with a 9 kg dog. Best investment for our little friend.

I bought the medium k9 sports sack plus 2. It is ideal for my dog who is elderly but still loves to get out and about and come on day trips to different places. When he gets tired he happily sits into the back pack and is very relaxed while he takes a break. I was really surprised at how well he took to the back pack and how relaxed he is in it. The sizing is pretty accurate too. My dog is about 9kg and we got the medium. The sports sack is very strong and well made and it feels secure. The extra clip-on bag is handy for things like water bowl and lead etc when going on long walks or hikes. Really happy and impressed with the sports sack.

I can't recommend this item enough, definitely the best addition to our hiking trips. My dog was so comfortable and with the air vents at the side of the bag he kept cool on the hike. My dog is 10.8 so I bought the large bag as he is long in stature for a Lhasa Apso, it was perfect.

I was a little nervous about if our dog would like this bag and the experience of riding the bike, but she loves it.
The bag is wonderful, knowing that she is safe and secure means I'm never worried about her escaping. I've used it in warm weather and the vents ensure she does not over heat.
I have a miniature schnauzer who is very small for her breed. Her sizing (43cm length) meant she was right between a small and a medium, so I went with medium as she is 7 months old and may grow a little more. At present I have put in a bolster in the base, but as she gets bigger I may be able to do away with it. Very happy with the bag and feel it's worth the money.
