What is tweed?
It is a woven, woollen fabric which can consist of many different colours. The name pretty much came about by mistake. Try looking up the story about the London Merchant who received a letter, it makes for an interesting little read.
When should you and your pets wear tweed?
It used to be mainly when hunting and shooting but being that we are in the world of loving and embracing animals it has luckily moved on and suits any occasion. It will suit your pets when visiting any nice hotels, restaurants or quaint towns and other places.
What is tweed made from?
Tweed is typically made of wool.
How to look after your Tweedmill dog lead?
Machine wash the Tweedmill dog lead according to the instructions written on the care label.
Harris Tweed dog lead vs Tweedmill tweed dog lead?
Similar to the Harris Tweed dog leads, but instead of Harris tweed (Scottish Tweed) being used Tweedmill (Welsh Tweed) has been used. The style and quality of the Harris Tweed Dog leads are much the same as Tweedmill Welsh Tweed dog leads.
Where is the tweed manufactured?
It is manufactured in Britain at Tweedmill Textiles. They are a UK manufacturer and chose Flint as their base mainly because it is situated on the edge of the River Dee next to a castle which gives them daily inspiration to create stunning textiles. They work with a hand-picked team which makes growing the brand and delivering new ideas and products a real joy and all of us at Travfurler love to work with them.
